Kevin Daniel Prosthetics Grant
Kevin Daniel was severly electrocuted in during the first month of his new job at an electrical company. He lost his right foot, his left leg, his left arm and the use of his right hand except for a functional thumb. He was without hope when he learned of a grant to come to the US to the Orthotcs and Prosthetics Instiute in Orlando. Kevin received a prosthetic for his right foot, and left leg and over the course of 3 months was taught to walk again on his own. We were able to secure a scholarship to a University in Honduras where he is taking online courses and uses a voice activated computer donated by Angels for Honduras. We are in the process of trying to secure a grant for a bionic arm so he can become truly independent.
In March of 2024 a work crew of 8 Americans travelled to Choloma Honduras to rehab the New Dawn Grammar School. New Classrooms for Grades 7,8 and 9 were added. Severely damaged classroom floors were replaced with new concrete. The entire school, inside and out was painted. We purchased 100 desks to replace desks damaged beyond repair.
