In 2019 APH built a 5,000-gallon water tank for a community that didn't have running water in their homes. This project helps children avoid going to the rivers to haul water and frees them to attend school and supplies them with food.
Santa Marta, Choloma
In 2020 we inaugurated a new two-room school in Santa Marta, Choloma. Children from 1st to 6th grade attended school in one classroom. We built a second classroom so that the children could be divided between these w classrooms. Now children can get more concentrated learning at levels more suited for their age group.
We have secured sponsorship for orphaned children from various members of our community. Four families of 2 to 4 children each are benefiting from sponsorships. They receive housing, food, medical assistance, clothing and education.
APH is proud to announce that one of our sponsored students has graduated from college with a 4.0 GPA and has received a scholarship to continue her masters in Tampa, Florida. She graduated as an Agricultural Engineer and will volunteer teaching farmers how to better cultivate their crops for a more beneficial outcome.
